In the southern Philippines, hundreds of Muslims burned a Danish flag at the city square of Cotabato, some 880 kilometers southeast of Manila. They also demanded that Denmark's government take action against the Danish newspaper that originally published the images.
On 6 February, Iran cut all trade ties with Denmark. Iran's Commerce Minister Masud Mir-Kazemi said the ban covered all Danish imports as well as any other business dealings.
Also on 6 February, several hundred people gathered outside the Danish Embassy in Tehran, some throwing petrol bombs and stones at the building.
Protests against the cartoons have taken place across the Muslim world.
