Chechen Rebels Choose New Foreign Representative

May 29, 2006 -- The leadership of Chechnya's separatist movement has replaced the man mandated to represent it internationally, Usman Ferzauli.

The new foreign minister of the separatist leadership will be Akhmed Zakayev.

Zakayev, who was granted political asylum in Britain, was previously described as the rebels' culture minister.
