Iran To Select 'Girl Of The Year'

June 19, 2006 -- Iran intends to select its first Girl of the Year by the end of this year.


Monireh Nobakht, the head of the Women's Social-Cultural Council, says the key criteria will be piety, moral purity, and adherence to the Islamic dress code. Other criteria will include dutifulness and devotion to family.


Nobakht says nominations will be sought by sending out letters at random.
