Moscow Mayor Wary Of WTO Entry

August 15, 2006 -- Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov today said that accession to the World Trade Organization could harm Russia's agricultural sector.


Luzhkov acknowledged that membership of the WTO benefit Russia's oil and gas industries but warned that it could create "complications" for other sectors.


Russia has been trying to join the world trade body since 1993.
