Iraqi Delegation Travels To Iran

September 5, 2006 -- An Iraqi delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Barham Salih traveled to Iran today in a trip seen as possibly preparing for an official visit to Iran by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Kamil al-Maliki.


Iranian state television reported that al-Maliki could come to Tehran as early as next week, but an Iraqi government spokesman said no date for such a visit has yet been set.
