UN Envoy Pessimistic On Kosovo Progress

(RFE/RL)

September 15, 2006 -- A UN official says talks on the future status of Kosovo are virtually deadlocked and the prospect of progress is "increasingly slim."

Albert Rohan, the UN envoy overseeing today's talks in Vienna, said the talks have reached a stalemate.

"We could talk for another 10 years and not change anything," Rohan said.
