November 30, 2006 -- Kosovar Prime Minister Agim Ceku held talks today in Moscow with Konstantin Kosachyov, the chairman of the Russian parliament's International Affairs Committee.

Afterward, Ceku declined to comment on the meeting.

Ceku's visit is aimed at reducing Russian opposition to the province's independence bid from Serbia.

Kosovo has been run by the UN since 1999, when NATO bombing drove out Serbian forces in response to a military crackdown against Kosovar Albanians.
