December 21, 2006 -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned countries involved in investigating the killing of the former intelligence officer Aleksandr Litvinenko of "excessive politicizing."

Litvinenko died in London in November after being poisoned with polonium-210, a radioactive substance that has been found in locations in London and Germany.

British and German police have both launched investigations.
