MOSCOW, March 7, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- Pressure is continuing to mount on Russia's health minister today over supply problems for subsidized medicines.

The pro-Kremlin Unified Russia faction in the State Duma says it will call for Mikhail Zurabov, the minister of health and social affairs,  to resign unless he solves the problems in two weeks.

On March 5, Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov -- a close ally of President Vladimir Putin -- also called for Zurabov to resign.
