August 13, 2007 -- Pakistan's Army says security forces have clashed with suspected Islamic fighters in a tribal region bordering Afghanistan, killing three militants.

Army spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad said the fighting broke out before dawn when militants attacked two security posts near the town of Wana in South Waziristan.

In North Waziristan, two soldiers reportedly were wounded overnight when militants fired rockets at their post near Miran Shah.
