Saudi Arabia is preparing to bury Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud.
Prince Nayef, who was also deputy prime minister and interior minister, will be buried after sunset prayers in the holy city of Mecca.
His body was flown back from Geneva, where he died on June 16 while receiving medical treatment.
He was in his late 70s. His 76 year-old brother, Prince Salman, is expected to succeed him.
Prince Salman is the current defense minister and governor of the capital, Riyadh.
The country is currently headed by 88-year-old King Abdullah.
The succession in Saudi Arabia passes among the sons of Abdul Aziz ibn Saud, who established the kingdom in 1932.
