The remains of the last Yugoslav king, Petar II Karadjordjevic, who died in exile more than four decades ago, have been returned to Serbia.
Petar's coffin was met with military honors at Belgrade airport in the presence of Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.
His remains will initially be held in the former royal residence in Belgrade where all those who wish would be able to pay their respects.
The remains will be interred at a later date at the family chapel south of the capital.
Petar fled to London when Nazi German troops attacked the Yugoslav kingdom in 1941.
In 1945, the communist regime that came to power declared a republic and banned him from returning.
Petar spent the final years of his life in the United States.
