Bus Crash In Pakistan Leaves Dozens Dead


Dozens of people have been killed after a passenger bus heading to Karachi collided with a truck in southern Pakistan.

The April 20 accident happened in the Sindh Province.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Besides at least 36 people who were killed in the accident, more than 20 people were reported injured.

Policeman Zia Soomro said some of those taken to the nearby government hospital were in serious condition and he warned that the death toll could rise.

Pakistan's roads are in notoriously bad condition.

Some reports said road construction was being carried in the area where the accident took place and that one lane of traffic was closed.
