Ten Killed After Minibus Falls Into Daghestani Gorge

Ten people, including seven children, died when a minibus fell into a gorge in Russia's North Caucasus Republic of Daghestan.

Daghestani officials say the tragedy took place on June 4 near the village of Sagada in Daghestan's western district of Tsunta.

Preliminary investigations say that the vehicle fell into a 40-meter gorge and landed in a strong river at the gorge's bottom after the driver unsuccessfully tried to avoid falling rocks.

The driver was not injured.

Six other people, including three children, were hospitalized.
