Daghestani Policeman Gets 19 Years For Triple Murder


A police officer in Makhachkala, the capital of Daghestan in Russia's North Caucasus, has been sentenced to 19 years in a high-security prison for killing three men.

The Prosecutor-General's Office in Daghestan said on June 26 that the republic's Supreme Court had found Feliks Yakubov, 44, guilty of shooting dead three of his acquaintances in a Makhachkala cafe.

Polic said the killings occurred following an argument that broke out between the men while they were drinking in a cafe in February 2013.
