Afghan Minister Discusses Energy Cooperation, Investment With Turkmenistan

KABUL -- Afghan Water and Energy Minister Mohammad Ismail Khan has arrived in Turkmenistan to discuss the country’s plans for large-scale energy and transportation infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.

Ministry spokesman Nurulhak Pakyryar told RFE/RL's Turkmen Service that increased Turkmen-Afghan energy cooperation is on the agenda.

Turkmenistan has expressed interest in investing heavily in Afghanistan's social and economic development.
