October 25, 2006 -- NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer arrives in Moscow today at the start of a two-day visit.
Scheffer is expected to meet with President Vladimir Putin on October 26, as well as with Russia's foreign and defense ministers, to discuss Russia's partnership with the alliance.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russian officials will also raise some of Moscow's concerns, including over U.S. plans to deploy missile-defense sites in eastern Europe.
