BAKU (RFE/RL) -- A reported 164 soldiers in an Azerbaijani military unit in Baku were hospitalized last week with symptoms of poisoning, RFE/RL's Azerbaijani Service reports.

Defense Ministry spokesman Eldar Sabiroglu told RFE/RL that 158 of them have returned to their unit after check-ups and six soldiers are still being treated at the military clinic.

He did not disclose any possible causes for the soldier's symptoms.
