Biden Arrives In Iraq To Meet With Leaders, U.S. Troops

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Vice President Joe Biden has arrived in Iraq on an unannounced visit to keep up U.S. pressure on Iraqi leaders to reach political compromises on thorny issues as U.S. combat troops prepare to go home.

The White House said in a statement that Biden had arrived in the country to meet with Iraqi leaders and visit U.S. troops.
