Czech Tourist Dies Near Russia's Lake Baikal

BAIKALSK, Russia -- The body of a missing Czech tourist has been found in Russia's Lake Baikal area after his separation from a tourist group on July 23, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

Miroslav Sykora reported feeling unwell while exploring the Svyatoi Nos peninsula with other members of the group and told them he was returning to their charter bus.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, according to a Czech deputy consul in Yekaterinburg.
