TEXT SIZE - +
SANTIAGO, Chile (Reuters) -- Two strong aftershocks within minutes of each other have hit the Chilean capital Santiago, according to Reuters witnesses, just ahead of the swearing-in of President-elect Sebastian Pinera.

The Chilean navy said it had issued a tsunami alert after the quake.

Chile was hit by an 8.8-magnitude earthquake on February 27 that killed hundreds.
