TEXT SIZE - +
The New York-based Human Rights Watch is calling on European Union leaders to press Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on democratic reforms during an upcoming summit in Siberia.

In a statement, Human Rights Watch says the EU should use the summit to urge Medvedev "to end impunity for abuses in Chechnya and cease harassment of civil society in Russia."

The two-day EU-Russia summit opens in the Siberian town of  Khanty-Mansiysk on June 26.
