Moscow Police Arrest Two In Killing Of Kyrgyz Man

TEXT SIZE - +
MOSCOW -- Police in Russia's Moscow Oblast have arrested two suspects in the killing of a Kyrgyz labor migrant, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reports.

The suspects, who are aged 21 and 22, have reportedly confessed to the murder.

They were detained in Moscow Oblast's Ramen district and charged in the murder of a 40-year-old Kyrgyz man who was found stabbed to death on November 3 in a forest near the town of Rybkhoz.

Kyrgyz Ambassador to Russia Raimkul Attokurov told RFE/RL last week that he was deeply concerned by the frequent attacks in Russia against Kyrgyz migrants.

In October, two young Kyrgyz men were killed by unknown attackers in the Russian capital.

There are hundreds of thousands of Kyrgyz nationals working in Russia to escape high unemployment in their homeland.
