Russia, Kyrgyzstan To Sign Base Deal: Kyrgyz Official

BISHKEK (Reuters) -- Russia and Kyrgyzstan plan to sign a bilateral deal to establish a new military base in the Central Asian country on August 1, a senior Kyrgyz official said on July 31.

The leaders of Russia and Kyrgyzstan plan to sign a memorandum on the issue after talks, the head of Kyrgyzstan's security council, Adakhan Madumarov, told reporters in Bishkek.
