BAKU -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and members of his cabinet are due to meet in Baku on May 13 with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, RFE/RL's Azerbaijani Service reports.

The Azerbaijani parliament, the Milli Majlis, will also gather for a special session at which Erdogan will deliver a speech.

Erdogan will leave the same day for Poland.

Erdogan is visiting Baku for the first time since Turkey and Armenia agreed to a "road map" for normalizing their relations.

Azerbaijan has been critical of the plan, suggesting that Turkey should normalize ties and open its border with Armenia only after Armenian military forces withdraw from Azerbaijani territory.
