Two Russian opposition activists have been detained in the southwestern city of Voronezh, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.
The two are members of the Russian People's Democratic Union (RNDS), which is led by former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov.
RNDS spokeswoman Yelena Dikun told RFE/RL that Aleksandr Boldyrev, the leader of the RNDS branch in Voronezh, and activist Vladimir Finayev were detained today for an "illegal public action."
She said they were distributing free copies of the opposition newspaper "We Are Citizens."
