First Bosnian National Killed In Iraq

28 June 2005 (RFE/RL) -- The Bosnian Foreign Ministry today said its first citizen has died in Iraq.

A ministry statement says Ljubisa Aleksic was killed in a bomb attack on 15 June some 60 kilometers from Baghdad. It gave no other details.

The statement says Aleksic worked for the U.S. company Lloyd-Owen International, and that his body is at a British hospital in Al-Basrah awaiting to be transferred to his central Bosnian hometown of Zenica.
