Shoot-Out Reported In Southern Russian Republic

13 October 2005 -- Russian officials are reporting that police and security forces are today involved in a shoot-out with armed men in the capital of the southern Russian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria.

The shooting in Nalchik, located about 150 kilometers west of the Chechen capital Grozny, is reportedly occurring at a police headquarters and a nearby school has been evacuated.
