Four Russians Killed In Chechnya Fighting

28 February 2006 -- Reports say three Russian soldiers and a member of the police were killed in attacks in Chechnya in the past 24 hours.

A source in the local government speaking on condition of anonymity said today that the soldiers were killed when an explosion struck their vehicle in the southeastern Vedeno district.


The Chechen policeman was killed and another officer wounded in a rebel attack in the capital, Grozny.
