Officials say the two were hanged in public at the location of the October 15 blasts.

Six people were killed and many were wounded in the double bombing.

Khuzestan Province's deputy governor-general, Mohsen Farokhinejad, said five more people connected to the bombings have been given prison terms ranging from two to more than 20 years.

The French news agency AFP reported that today's hangings bring to 24 the number of people executed in Iran this year.
