Iran Test-Fires Radar-Evading Missile

March 31, 2006 -- Iranian forces today successfully test-fired a new missile which can evade radar.

Iranian state television quotes Revolutionary Guards commander Hussein Salami as saying the new version of the Fajr-3 missile was tested as part of naval exercises that started today in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.


The Fajr-3 is a solid-fuel rocket about 5 meters long that is capable of carrying a 45-kilogram warhead a distance of over 40 kilometers.
