Five Iraqis Killed in Ba'qubah

March 31, 2006 -- At least five Iraqi civilians were killed today when gunmen fired on their car near Ba'qubah, about 65 kilometers north of Baghdad.

In other violence, gunmen fired on a police patrol, killing one police officer, in Al-Fallujah, 50 kilometers west of Baghdad.

Meanwhile, the International Organization for Migration said in Geneva that at least 30,000 Iraqis have fled their homes in recent weeks because of the violence in the country.

A spokeswoman said the group estimates that a million people have been displaced in Iraq.
