Six Iraqi Police Killed, Dozens Missing After Ambush

April 14, 2006 -- At least six policemen were killed and some 20 others went missing after a police convoy was ambushed by gunmen near Baghdad late on April 13.

Police said 10 officers were wounded in the attack near Al-Taji, just north of the capital.


In another incident on April 13, 11 employees of a building company were kidnapped and killed in the southern city of Al-Basrah.


In the northern city of Mosul on April 14, a suicide bomber in a car attacked a police station, wounding at least seven people.
