Albright Calls U.S. Iraq War 'Disaster'

April 23, 2006 -- Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has said invading Iraq may end up being "one of the worst disasters" in American foreign policy history.

Albright, who served under President Bill Clinton, told "The New York Times" that "democracy is getting a bad name because it is identified with imposition and occupation."
