More Suspected Racist Attacks In Moscow

July 2, 2006 -- Separate attacks on two ethnic Armenians, a Kazakh student, and two Uzbeks on July 1 in Moscow have been reported today.

The two Armenians were stabbed during a fight on a metro platform on the evening of July 1.

A group of 10 teenagers, four of them girls, stabbed a Kazakh man, who is studying at Moscow's Military Engineering Academy, late in the afternoon. The Kazakh was hospitalized but his wounds were described as not serious.

Two Uzbek citizens were hospitalized after being stabbed by six young men in the early evening. One of the Uzbeks was described as being in critical condition.
