August 30, 2006 -- The Iranian Nobel peace prize winner and rights campaigner Shirin Ebadi says she has received a new death threat.
Ebadi today told Iran's ILNA news agency that the threat came in the form of an anonymous letter saying she will soon be "punished for her actions."
Ebadi, who is the cofounder of the Tehran-based Center of Human Rights Defenders, has complained of death threats in the past.
