U.S. Servicewoman Missing In Kyrgyzstan

September 6, 2006 (RFE/RL) -- The United States military says a U.S. servicewoman stationed at the Manas air base in Kyrgyzstan has gone missing in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek.
A U.S. statement said the woman separated from a group of other service personnel while shopping at a department store in central Bishkek on September 5, and her whereabouts are currently unknown to the U.S. military.
The statement said Kyrgyz police are searching for the woman, whose name and rank were not disclosed. She was attached to the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing.
