21 Dead In Latest Violence In Iraq

September 11, 2006 -- Reports say 11 Iraqi army recruits were killed today in a suicide attack on a minibus in Baghdad. Further details are not immediately available.


Meanwhile, the U.S. military says a U.S. soldier was killed by small-arms fire when his patrol came under attack north of Baghdad. The military said in a statement that the soldier was killed on the evening of September 10.


Iraqi police reported that another nine people were killed in separate attacks in Iraq overnight and early on September 11.
