Kazakh President To Visit U.S. Next Week

September 19, 2006 -- President Nursultan Nazarbaev's chief of staff said today the Kazakh head of state will visit the United States next week.

The visit, scheduled to last from September 26 through September 29, will be Nazarbaev's fifth visit to the United States since 1991, his press office said.


The United States is currently the leading investor in Kazakhstan and the volume of trade between the two countries nearly doubled between 2004 and 2005.
