Turkmen President Publishes New Book Of Poetry

The "Rukhnama," the spiritual tome authored by Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov (ITAR-TASS)

October 14, 2006 -- Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov appeared on state television today announcing the release of a new book of his poetry.


Niyazov said most of the poems in the collection, entitled "Turkmenistan, My Happiness," are "about love."


Turkmenistan's state information agency said the new book is "a source of inexhaustible inspiration and creative energy for Turkmen citizens."


A number of books, including the "Rukhnama" (the Book of the Spirit), have been released with President Niyazov attributed as being the author.
