December 3, 2006 -- Thousands of supporters of Hizballah and its pro-Syrian Lebanese allies spent a second consecutive night in a tent camp in downtown Beirut.
The camp is part of a protest campaign aimed at forcing the resignation of Lebanon's government.
The demonstrators have vowed to continue the protest until the government of Prime Minister Fuad Siniora steps down.
Siniora, who has pledged not to be forced out of office by the protests, has received the backing of Western governments.
