Ukraine Adopts Last Remaining Law For WTO Entry

December 13, 2006 -- The Ukrainian parliament has approved the final piece of legislation required for Ukraine to join the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The law, which sets customs duties for some metals exports, secured 363 votes in the 450-seat parliament today.


Ukraine hopes to join the WTO, which sets global trade rules, in the first quarter of 2007.
