Dutch Authorities To Test 20 People For Radiation
December 15, 2006
December 15, 2006 -- Dutch health authorities have called in about 20 people for radiation testing after they stayed in a London hotel visited by poisoned former Russian security official Aleksandr Litvinenko.
The hotel was one of several locations in London found to have been contaminated. Litvinenko died last month from poisoning with the radioactive isotope polonium-210.
Traces of radiation were also found at locations in Hamburg visited by a Litvinenko contact.
Russian authorities said checks being carried out at Germany's request on planes that flew from Moscow to Hamburg last month have so far shown no traces of contamination.
