January 28, 2007 -- Russian security chief Igor Ivanov said in Tehran today that Moscow is committed to completing Iran's first nuclear power plant on schedule in September.
IRNA news agency quotes Ivanov as saying that "Russia is determined" to finish the Bushehr plant on time.
He spoke after talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki.
Russia supports Iran's right to peaceful nuclear technology but voted for a UN Security Council resolution in December that imposes sanctions on Tehran over its refusal to freeze uranium enrichment.
