Security Forces Clash With Gunmen In Ingushetia

February 3, 2007 -- Gunmen clashed with security forces that surrounded them in an apartment building in the town of Malgobek, in the southern Russian republic of Ingushetia today.
Police said they had surrounded a group of up to five suspected militants and that the battle was continuing.
The siege is the latest in a series of similar incidents in areas surrounding Chechnya.
