March 1, 2007 -- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf says the country is "dealing” with Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants taking refuge in Pakistan's border region with Afghanistan.
The official Associated Press of Pakistan news agency quoted Musharraf as saying militants in the country "are spreading terrorism not just in Pakistan but in the entire world."
On a visit to Islamabad on February 26, U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney urged Musharraf to step up efforts against Islamic militants.
