March 13, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- The office of Kyrgyz Prosecutor-General Kambaraly Kongantiev has reopened a probe into a 2002  police shooting of demonstrators, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reported.

In March 2002, police officers shot dead six unarmed protesters in the southern district of Aksy.
