Bomb Injures Nine At Pakistani Court Building

PESHAWAR, Pakistan; May 29, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- A car bomb exploded in front of the high court building of Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province today, injuring nine people, RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan reported.

Witnesses told RFE/RL Peshawar correspondent Najib Aamer that the driver had abandoned the vehicle shortly before the blast.


The attack was close to several other key provincial government buildings in Peshawar -- including Radio Pakistan Peshawar, the Nashtar Hall cultural center, and the historic Bala Hisar fortress.
