Six Taliban Killed In Clashes, Rockets Kill Two Women
June 1, 2007 -- Afghan government officials say six Taliban fighters were killed overnight in a battle with police in eastern Afghanistan.
The overnight clash began when militants attacked the home of a police official in the Zurmat district of Paktia Province.
In a separate incident, two Afghan women were killed by a Taliban rocket barrage fired at their homes from the mountains of the eastern province of Kunar.
