June 20, 2007 -- Three soldiers with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force have been killed in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar Province when a bomb blast destroyed their vehicle.

The alliance said the three soldiers were Canadian. Some 60 Canadian soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since 2002.

NATO and Afghan troops, meanwhile, clashed with militants in the same province and called in airstrikes, killing 21 suspected Taliban fighters.
